2. What information should I be prepared to provide when I schedule my appointment?

The name used to schedule your appointment must exactly match the name shown on your identification. At a minimum, the identification must be a valid, government-issued ID that shows your name in the English alphabet, your signature, your photograph.Your Social Security, or Licensing Authority/Sponsor issued I.D. Number.Contact phone numbers &#8211; If there is an unexpected event, we will use these numbers to contact you.Mailing address &#8211; Please provide the address to which you would like your score report or other important information mailed.Exam title.Eligibility information, if required.E-mail address &#8211; Once again for contact purposes, this is often the fastest and most effective means of communication. Many licensing authorities or sponsors require e-mail contact information for registration.Method of payment if applicable.

4. Can I cancel and/or reschedule my test appointment via the PSI Website?

Accepted Answer

Many test appointments can be canceled and/or rescheduled through logging in to your account. Typically, we allow you to schedule 1 day prior if space is available and we require 2 business days to reschedule your exam without penalty. Check with your sponsor&#8217;s FAQ or Candidate Information Bulletin for your program’s particular rescheduling rules if applicable.

5. How long will it take for my eligibility or authorization to test to be downloaded into the system so that I can schedule an appointment to test?

Please note that not all Licensing Authorities/Sponsors require eligibility to take their exam, therefore, you may be able to test immediately. For those programs requiring eligibility, the files are downloaded and test appointment scheduling is available within 24-48 hours of receiving authorization from the licensing authority.

6. Why would my local test center tell me that they don't schedule appointments?

The testing centers&#8217; primary purpose is to administer exams. Candidates should visit our website or contact our Candidate Service Center to schedule an exam appointment. Test center staff are not able to schedule appointments for their test center under any circumstances.

7. How do I obtain the appointment date and time I want to take my exam?

Accepted Answer

When you go to our website or speak to a representative from our Candidate Service Center you will be asked to provide your preferred test date. The first available time slot on that date will be offered to you. If your preferred appointment date is not available, you will see available sessions online, and/or a Candidate Service Center representative will work with you to identify a convenient appointment date.

8. If my test center closes for severe weather or a local emergency, what should I do?

In rare cases weather or an emergency forces a test center closure. If this happens you will be contacted by the PSI rescheduling department within 24-48 hours to reschedule your appointment. We apologize for any inconvenience.

10. PSI test center regulations - live proctored

No conversing or any other form of communication among candidates is permitted once you enter the examination area.You are prohibited from reproducing, communicating or transmitting any test content in any form for any purpose. Copying or communicating content is a violation of PSI security policy. Either one may result in the disqualification of examination results, may lead to legal action and will be reported to your Licensing Authority/Sponsor.Electronic devices and recording devices of any kind (including but not limited to cell phones, smart watches, smart glasses) are not permitted in PSI testing rooms. A brief security check will be completed by test center staff to ensure you are not in possession of prohibited devices prior to beginning your test.Personal items are not permitted in the testing room. PSI test centers will provide secure, lockable storage (lockers or locker bags; dependent on location) in which items can be placed. Electronic items must be powered off prior to being placed in the lockable storage locations. If the personal items do not fit into the provided storage (such as a large handbag), you will be asked to return them to your vehicle if applicable.You must present valid, unexpired and acceptable ID(s) in order to take your test. Check your Candidate Information Bulletin or Licensing Authority/Sponsor for the specific rules that apply to your test.PSI requires all employees and test takers to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner at all times. 11. PSI web delivery - remotely proctored

If your sponsor allows Web Delivery as a testing modality, you can schedule and launch your exam right from your home computer. Requirements include a web camera, speakers, microphone, and stable broadband internet connection. Please go through the compatibility check on our scheduling website.If you need assistance during your exam, you should initiate a chat with the online test administrator using the in exam chat tool.No conversing or any other form of communication is permitted once your exam has been released.You are prohibited from reproducing, communicating or transmitting any test content in any form for any purpose. Copying or communicating content is a violation of PSI security policy. 1. Is my online proctored test secure?

Yes. Your online proctored test is secured to protect the integrity of the test and the safety of your personal data.

PSI uses secure browser technology with enhanced communication security and encryption. Your personal information is always protected. PSI does record your webcam and desktop on your computer, but only during the testing session. This stops when you close the online proctoring software application.

2. Where can I take my online proctored test?

You can test in the convenience of your home, school, or office. Wherever you test, you should be in a walled room where you will not be disturbed. No one else is permitted in the room with you while you are testing.

4. What type of identification will I need to present?

You are required to present a valid, government-issued photo identification as part of the check-in process. Your identification must contain your full name and a recent, recognizable photo.Please Note: Military identifications and credit cards are not accepted for online proctored tests.

5. How do I know online proctoring will work on my machine?

You will need to be able to install PSI Bridge on your computer to take the test. If you are on a corporate computer that does not allow program installation, you may want to take the test at home instead. Only one monitor is allowed during testing, and PSI Bridge will ask to automatically close any prohibited programs on the laptop/computer, such as Microsoft Word, or other Office programs, various browsers, etc.

6. How long does the check-in process take?

The check in process will take approximately 10-15 minutes. You are able to begin the check-in process up to 15 minutes prior to your test start time. Your organization’s testing rules will provide guidance on being late.

7. Are there workspace requirements? Is my home or office workspace okay?

Accepted Answer

You will be asked to take a video of your testing area during the check-in process, which will be reviewed by a PSI proctor prior to test launch. Please ensure that you are in a well-lit room so that your testing area can be reviewed – artificial lighting is recommended.Please ensure that your desk space is clear and clean of any prohibited items. Unless allowed by your test sponsor, please make sure that there are no notes, paper/pencil, calculator, or other materials on the desk, and, overall, no items or information in the room that could be considered cheating materials. Items in the background, provided that they are not accessed during the test, are fine.For example, having books on a bookcase in the background is not a problem, provided that you do not access them.

8. Can I receive assistance with my test?

No. You may not receive any assistance from other individuals while taking the test, and you may not allow other individuals to see your computer screen when test questions are being presented.The Online Proctor cannot answer questions related to test content.Technical Support is available via live chat to assist with any technical issues related to the PSI Bridge Secure Browser, such as connection issues.

9. What actions are prohibited during my test?

Test rules provide guidance for what is acceptable during your test. The proctor will use your webcam/desktop and on-screen chat to communicate with you during your test. Your test may be paused by the proctor or automatically by the testing platform to investigate suspicious actions or events during the test.Examples of prohibited behavior may include, but are not limited to:Looking off the screenMumbling or speaking aloudUsing unauthorized materials as listed in the section belowInteracting with third parties intentionally or unintentionallyLeaving the circle of view of the webcamThe proctor will investigate the event and then release your test so that you may continue after re-accepting the terms and conditions. If you have any questions about the pause or release of your test, you can live chat with your proctor directly.

10. What physical items are prohibited during my test?

12. Is my online proctored test session recorded?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The entire test session is recorded, from when you check in to when you complete the test and close out of the online proctoring application.Please Note: After completing the test, you must fully close the online proctoring application before leaving the view of the webcam. Leaving the view of your webcam for any reason or duration during the test may result in your test session being terminated, and your test results invalidated, even if you have already completed the test.
