As the Chief Executive Officer of the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), Lori M. Tinkler, MBA, ICE-CCP, brings over three decades of dedicated service and leadership to the respiratory care profession. Since joining the NBRC in 1991, Lori has held various pivotal roles, including Chief Operating Officer, where she played a crucial part in growing the organization’s subsidiary, Applied Measurement Professionals, Inc. (AMP). Under her leadership, the NBRC has continued to uphold its mission of developing high-quality examinations and awarding credentials to respiratory care practitioners. Lori’s strategic vision and commitment to excellence have been instrumental in launching innovative programs like the Credential Maintenance Program (CMP) and the MoreRTs public awareness campaign, which highlights the impactful stories of respiratory therapists nationwide. Recognized in 2008 for Women Who Mean Business in Kansas City, Lori is also an active community leader, having volunteered on several local and national boards and mentoring young professionals. Lori also has a strong commitment to giving back evidenced by her long-standing support of the Go Red for Women initiative in Kansas City, the Boys and Girls of Club of Greater Kansas City and many others. Her passion for advancing the respiratory care profession and her dedication to fostering a culture of continuous improvement make her a respected and influential figure in the credentialing field.
